PUMPS
G & D Series Regenerative Turbine Pump
Regenerative Turbine pumps are tight tolerance pumps with an impeller that generates a higher head performance than comparably sized centrifugal pumps. Ideal for thinner fluids, the Nikuni pumps have modular inlet and outlet port configurations for flexible installation into OEM equipment.
Nikuni utilizes a fixed impeller. Many competitors use a floating impeller, that relies on good hydraulic conditions to balance the impeller centrally. When good conditions are not present (startup, shut-down, open flow, dead head, starved inlet, etc) a floating impeller will wear and ultimately reduce seal life and performance. Nikuni fixed impeller G and D series pumps do not have impeller wear and are more efficient because they are closer tolerance to the pump body.

FHD Boiler Feed Multistage Pumps
Nikuni FHD, STW and SNW (2 stage) pumps are ideal for steam boiler and steam generator applications. Nikuni utilizes a fixed impeller on these pumps. Many competitors use a floating impeller, that relies on good hydraulic conditions to balance the impeller centrally. When good conditions are not present (startup, shut-down, open flow, dead head, starved inlet, etc) a floating impeller will wear and ultimately reduce seal life and performance. Nikuni pumps do not have impeller wear and are more efficient because they are closer tolerance to the pump body.
The Nikuni design offers reduced NPSH requirements to 2 meters, and much lower audible noise than competitors. For more information on Nikuni FHD Boiler feed pumps contact Ober-Read & Associates.

LASD Liquid and Air Handling Pumps
The Nikuni LASD pump is both a liquid and air pump. It can handle large percentages of air through the pump as long as the impeller remains wetted. It is ideal for clean fluids that will sometimes have intermittent periods of dry service, with a need to reprime quickly. LASD pumps come in cast iron, with stainless steel impeller, and Carbon vs Silicon Carbide mechanical seal. Two sizes are offered up to 8 GPM, with a 1 ph, 115/230V, ½ HP motor.
IVD Food Grade Pumps
Nikuni IVD pumps are Stainless Steel pumps with vortex impeller design, and sanitary ports, that are suitable for pumping soft solids without damaging the product. This is ideal for food plant applications. The pumps are provided pedestal mount for a baseplate mounting to the motor of your choice.

MICROBUBBLE GENERATORS
KTM Microbubble Pumps
The Nikuni KTM is a modified version of our standard Regenerative Turbine pumps that is specifically designed for use in Dissolved Air Floatation systems in Wastewater Treatment. By adding an air nozzle in one inlet port, and controlling the inlet effluent and air flow properly, the pump will internally mix the air and water, generating microbubbles from 4-18 micron, with most in the 6-11 micron range.
The presence of microbubbles in a waste stream can be used to collect and float particles, and the small bubble size, and quantity produced, is proven to be an effective part of the DAF process.
KTM Pumps are mechanically sealed, and offered close-coupled or base mounted, and include an air intake nozzle with each pump.
Models: 9 sizes, KTM20 – KTM80
Construction: Cast Iron, 313 SS Fitted, or All 313 SS, Carbon v SiC seal w Viton
Flow: 4.4 – 254 GPM
Motors: 3 ph, UL Listed, 1 – 40 HP, 3600 RPM up to 5 HP, 1800 RPM above 5 HP

FILTRATION SYSTEMS
VDF Cyclone Filtration Systems
The Nikuni VDF (Vortex Dynamic Filter) is a cyclonic filter, that requires no paper bags, cartridges or elements. It utilizes the geometry of the filter housing, varying velocity as fluid travels through the chamber, to knock-out particles and sludge from the flow stream.
The VDF will provide removal of 98% of particles 10 micron and above, when used on water based coolants at 2 bar pressure, in a single pass through the filter.
Nikuni VDF Cyclone Filter
Models: 9 sizes (CL-10 up to CL-1000)
Materials: Stainless Steel, PVC available on sizes 30-100)
Flow Rate: 2.5 – 250 GPM
Nikuni has packaged these VDF units into 3 different assemblies that are perfect for the Machine Tool Coolant filtration industry. The C-CAT, C-Jaguar and NAX-CS-II progress from a basic manual unit, to a fully automatic deaign.
VDF units are ideal for Steel, Aluminum, Cast Iron, Powdered Metal, grind swarf (including grinding wheel grit) and a wide range of other metals that are heavier than water. They can deliver ROI when compaed to the cost of filter elements, maintenance time, machine down time, and coolant disposal costs.
VDF Coolant Filtration Systems
Versions: 3 (C-CAT, C-JAGUAR, NAX-CS-II)
Models: 6 sizes
Flow Rate: 9 GPM – 75 GPM
C-CAT Systems
C-CAT is a packaged coolant filtration system using the Nikuni VDF filter, a self-priming pump, sludge pot, and manual dump valve. Our most basic affordable system for general use.
C-JAGUAR Systems
C-JAGUAR is a packaged coolant filtration system using the Nikuni VDF filter, a self-priming pump, sludge pot, sludge tank with cleanout rake, and PLC controlled automatic dump valve, and recycle loop to draw coolant periodically out of the sludge tank. The mid-priced option that meets most plant needs.
NAX-CS-II Systems
NAX-CS-II is a packaged coolant filtration system using the Nikuni VDF filter, a self-priming pump, sludge pot, sludge tank with automatic chip conveyor to customer supplied tote, PLC controlled automatic dump valve, and recycle loop to draw coolant periodically out of the sludge tank. The NAX-CS-II provides the maximum in hands-off removal of sludge from your high volume CNC machining centers.
LAX Coolant Sump Vacuum Units
The Nikuni LAX is a convenient way to provide regular maintenance on your machine coolant sumps, without shutting down the machine. Removing particles from the coolant will extend the life, and reduce the time between coolant change out, also reducing disposal cost. Once done, the vacuum feature will help dry out the removed chip cake, making for easy disposal and reuse of the filter bag.
The assembly includes a sturdy frame (on casters), bag filter tank, LASD series liquid/air pump, interconnecting hoses, and a 115V, 1 ph cable with plug. Filter bags are available in 20, 40 and 100 micron (3 each are included with a new unit).
VSC Coolant Chiller
Nikuni VSC3100 is a compact chiller for in-sump machine tool coolant applications. 300 W at 60 Hz, 115V power, it includes an automatic thermostat control with adjustable setting.
Enecom Cyver High Pressure
Machine Coolant and Filter Systems
The Enecom Cyver is a packaged assembly used for high-pressure machine tool coolant delivery. The Enecom Cyver uses a Variable Frequency Drive to control the pump speed to deliver the correct flow and pressure required for each cutting tool. The result is maximum efficiency, less power consumption, and less heat into the coolant. A Nikuni VDF cyclone filter is provided integral to the assembly.
