OEM PRODUCTS: GEAR MAGNETIC DRIVE
Gear pumps utilize rotary motion between two gears, normally one driving gear and one idler gear, to dispense thin and medium viscosity fluids. Among positive displacement pump types, gear pumps are economical, long life, and can withstand a very wide temperature range. Ober-Read provides gear pumps from Fluid-O-Tech, Iwaki America and our own in-house LA-1021 series pump to cover different performance and material combinations to handle almost any small OEM gear pump application.
All the gear pumps provided by Ober-Read are Magnetically coupled. Lower pressure applications use ceramic magnets, while higher pressure or flow rate units use rare-earth high-torque samarium cobalt magnets. These pumps are compact in size, and can be connected to small AC or brush and brushless DC motors.

LA-1021 Model
The Ober-Read LA-1021 pump is a compact, cavity-plate style seal-less pump designed mostly for water, water glycol, or thin heat transfer fluids. The standard motor is a 12 or 24V Brushless-DC design, but other small motors can be provided for a specific application.

MDG Gear Series
Iwaki offers a small DC powered Mag-Drive gear pump in Ryton, with a brushless 24V DC motor, suited to OEM application.
